I never done parkour before can i do it?
One of the biggest positives about our sport & specifically in the way we teach inidivudals at our club, is the progressive model we adopt to take participants from complete beginners with no prior experience to athletes who are competing at some of the most prolific competitions in the UK against professional athletes.
Regardless of experience, we will teach participants at their individual level and can simplify or develop skills to be as basic or as complex as necessary for each individual.
I'm not physically fit, can I still do Parkour?
ABSOLUTELY! Despite how intense the sport may seem at first glance when you stumble across that video on YouTube or Instagram, at it’s foundation… Parkour is simply movement using the body as the tool. Regardless of whether you are physically fit or not, we can adapt sessions to suit the pace of the individuals and classes are structured in a way whereby consistent attendance will naturally prevail an increase in physical fitness and strength.
Parkour looks dangerous, what if I/ my child gets hurt?
On face value, Parkour can seem like a crazy sport full of danger. In truth, by practicing Parkour you are actually reducing danger by becoming more aware in your own body and it’s capabilities, you will develop a better ability to risk assess, you will learn how to safely perform techniques specifically to avoid injury and you will be supervised by REAL parkour coaches with years of experience at the highest level of Parkour within the industry. Most dangers are prevalent when we least expect it, and commonly occur when we are doing everyday movement as a result of a lack of focus awareness and bodily strength. Our classes are designed by our expert team of coaches to actively educate students on how injuries occur (not just specifically to parkour) and how to avoid them.
I'm still a little bit unsure
That’s totally understandable, fear of the unknown is extremely common in human nature and everyone who has started something new has felt feelings of anxiety. That’s exactly why we offer trial sessions for participants to conduct and gauge their interest and feelings towards not only the sport, but our staffing team also. You can book a trial by following the red ‘Claim your free trial button’ anywhere on our website.
